London - High Street Pick Of The Day.

London is my favourite fashion capital for High Street Fashion no doubt. I've visited each fashion capital and have to say I think for High Street fashion, no city can beat London. It's a Metropolitan city and has millions of small & unique boutiques holding great things. What's your favourite city for fashion and why? Milan is my overall favourite but for High Street and the variety it has to be London for me!

Zadig Et Voltaire - Fall/Winter 2010 - 2011 Collection.

"The original idea behind Zadig et Voltaire is to create AFFORDABLE LUXERY. From the beginning, Zadig et Voltaire is a breath of fresh air, a dream factory, a producer of designs. My wish was also to create a French brand and a specific distribution network."
- Thierry Gillier -

Luxery costs. Alot. But in my opinion this is really affordable luxery at one of its best! What do you think of Zadig Et Voltaire? What's an affordable luxery brand for you?

Booties & Orgasm.

I can just picture myself in a few years when I have my own home with a walk-in wardrobe full of gorgeous heels. Or at least a girl can hope right?

I took a trip to Selfridges and was excited to see the NEW (yay!) Shoe Galleries open on the second floor.. it was like walking into a ladies heaven. Some of those shoes in the Shoe Galleries are exclusive to Selfridges as well which makes it even more amazing. And their seats aren't just your standard seats.. they have seats for you to try on your shoes in the style of cinema seats; so they open up but obviously they're the clean velvety luxurious version.

The shoe gallery is completed on the 16th September and I cannot wait.
You can explore the shoe galleries here :)

One thing I love is their variety of brands now that you didn't see so much before. I'm seeing a lot of new shoe brands there now like Opening Ceremony from the US.

Check these charm suede brown booties from Opening Ceremony!

I also discovered another new brand which really inspired me... called Giuseppe Zanotti, an Italian designer.
I love my Italian designers.

Black suede mid-calf boot; £650

These are just a few amazing pairs I found! There are so much more.. especially their booties.
I'm aware that sounds silly. But they called it booties so that's what I'm going to call them!

Which ones do you prefer?

I'm also loving the nail polish Orgasm by Nars. This is blogger Glam-Me-Up wearing it... I need to buy me some of that! :) how cute and girly?!

On another note, I bought these treggings from Topshop for £35! Great quality and SO comfortable.. just wow. And they fit so tightly.. grr :)

And that's pretty much it for now :)

Loves:

*Gown by Emilio Pucci from the new Fall season. I'm in love.
*Animal print classico messenger bag by Fendi
*Tie-Waist shorts as seen in Sydney Fashion Week

Way over my price range but in love all the same! :)

On another note, I bought these gorgeous polyester pocohuntus shorts from River Island yesterday for £29.99:

How puuuurdyy! I got home excited to wear them to realise that to my horror it said "dry clean only" *AHHHHHHH*
Any tips on dry clean only products? I read you can get a product called Dryel which allows you to wash the product in the washing machine regularly but surprise, surprise it was too good to be true because you can't get them in the UK! I don't want to take it back its so lovely and having to dry clean them is so expensive ad not worth it (those were my mums words anyway)
Being the stubborn girl I am I handwashed a section of the shorts just to see what would happen to it! I hope its okay... :(

Hello staff discount?

Things I'm absolutely loving right now! I've always prefered the winter season clothing wise, the colours are more undertones and full of gorgeous neutrals, and you can wear a lot more items.
I think people look sexier/classy in winter clothes too.

Jacket: £44.99; Top: £16.99; Bag: £24.99; Peg leg: £34.99
[all River Island]

I love the jacket and I think the price is quite reasonable since it is good quality. I'd go out in just a white tee, pair of jeans, boots, throw on this jacket and BAM! Hello chic :)

What I loved about this black heart top is the material. It is cotton but it feels like a silkier cotton which makes it more expensive.

I'd pair those trousers with a tight fitting white plain top tucked in. What do you think?

Ok! Now, I love that bag, the colour is gorgeous, its a good size and perfect for going anywhere in the daytime with... however, what annoys me about River Island is their obsessive need to put their sign on their products. I mean, REALLY?!?

Why would you want this on your bag?

Does it annoy you too or is it just me?
Tell me what you think :)

P.S. Like the song? :)

River Island training; aching from all the bending down!

Had a training day at River Island today in Sales and Services. I was excited at the beginning happily filling in all the papers and the same mundane information on several sheets of paper. Yes, I enjoyed it... I've always wanted to work in retail because I want to be a merchandiser so finally getting the opportunity to work within that kind of thing is exciting :) feel like a big girl.
Cue all the "awwws!"

I then with a few other girls had to help out with delivery; stocking up the shop with new/more items.

This involved:

  • unwrapping boxes of clothes and shoes;
  • putting security tags on them
  • putting them on hangers
  • hanging them up
And when i say boxes of clothes, I really do mean box after box after box after box and I didn't realise until I got home how tired I was when I started aching in all sorts of places!

Complaining aside though, I did enjoy it and met loads of friendly people which is always great and definitely can't wait for my first day at work on Saturday!

On another note, I was early to my training to walked around and decided to go into boots and check out the makeup counters. *La dida dida*
I was excited to see L'Oreal's Voluminous mascara again on the shelf as I've wanted it ever since lollipop26 said how much she loves it so of course, since I love her and go by her every word I have to try it...

So when I get it I will talk about it :)

On a random note, I found this youtuber Brent Gordan who does amazing covers of songs...
especially his cover of Coldplay which I have not stopped listening to.
IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL! It can get me quite emotional.

Enjoy!

Monica xoxo
